&lt;p&gt;Child custody depends on the welfare of the child. According to practice its difficult to get the custody of female child if mother remarries. But if she can prove welfare of the child lies to her and if the child live with the father then she will not get proper care she need then court may consider the matter. And if the child&#160;wants to live with the mother then it is also considered by the court.&lt;/p&gt;
