&lt;p&gt;&#160;If your grandfather sold the land directly (he signed the deed document) then your uncle can not claim the property. But if your father sold it as successor then your uncle can claim half of the property. And if there are other lands of your grandfather then your father can give his part to your uncle instead of the sold land.&lt;/p&gt;
